BEES' KNEES AND BUSINESS The difference is not so great .as you’d imagine. Take us, for example. Every now and then,, when our customary modesty suffers a slight eclipse, we find ourselves admitting publicly that we are, in addition to being the elephant’s pyjamas, also the bees’ knees —as far as men’s wear is concerned, at any rate. Then lots of people hear it (if we say it loud enough), and they believe it. Or if they don’t, they must decide to find out, because they come in in their thousands. Well, we have just got to work on them, sell ’em the i goods, and, when their money’s gone, throw ‘ ’em out to make ready foi' the next shopful. After a week or so—that’s good business. Or it would be, if it happened that way. Actually, how we do it is this. We buy the best garments in the world. We sweat and struggle to get them to the public at a reasonable price. We break our hearts, and ■ occasionally go almost nuts trying to give unequalled service. And after more years than we can remember, someone says, casually—“Do you know, I believe they 'have really nice things at BULLICK - BLACKMORE LIMITED Masterton.
