ST. LUKE’S CHURCH MEETING OF LADIES’ GUILD. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of St Luke’s Ladies’ Guild was held in the Parish Hall yesterday afternoon. Mrs York presided over a fair attendance of members. Mrs Keedwell was thanked for a donation of tea. Members were reminded of corporate communion to be held on Sunday next. Members were urged to attend the annual meeting. The hostesses were Mrs W. Everett and Miss Stephens. • CROQUET KEEN INTEREST IN GAME. Keen interest is being shown in the Croquet Club this year. The B grade handicap singles for the Nichols trophy are to be finished this week. It was decided at the last meeting of the club to hold half-hourly games among members on Saturday afternoon’s until the end of the season. Other matches are to be played next week. TOWN HALL “THE FLEET’S IN.” A rollicking comedy, “The Fleet’s In,” will be shown tomorrow afternoon and evening with Eddie Bracken, Dorothy Lamour, William Holden and Betty Hutton in the leading roles.
