CENTRAL SCHOOL
PARENTS’ ASSOCIATION, FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR DENTAL CLINIC. The committee of the Central School Parents’ Association met in the Central School last evening, when Mr V. Bradley occupied the chair. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs W. R. Nicol and Malmo. Considerable correspondence con- 1 cerning the new dental clinic was dealt with and the present position was fully outlined. It was decided to pay into the dental clinic fund the sum of £137 as the association’s part of the costs on a pro rata basis. The ladies’ committee agreed to supply refreshments on the occasion of the official opening of the clinic on Saturday. The committee also dealt with the matter of holding dances in the coming season and arrangements were made for the opening dance. Ashton’s Orchestra was engaged to supply music at all the dances. Members regretted that owing to rising costs a small increase in the price for admission would have to be made. Sub-committees were appointed and a successful season for the association is assured.
