According to the “Daily Sketch, ’ an Understanding has been reached between the Soviet and Yugoslav Governments but this cannot be confirmed officially. The “Sketch” says that the understanding is likely to lead to a powerful combination of anti-Axis forces in Yugoslavia, details of which will be announced soon.

General Mikhailovitch, in a broadcast communique, stated that fierce fighting is at present going on between Yugoslavs and Axis forces. Nine Axis tanks have been destroyed and at least a thousand Italians and Germans killed in the last few days.
