ST. JOHN AMBULANCE

SUCCESSFUL DANCE. HELD ON SATURDAY NIGHT. The St. John Ambulance Brigade held a very successful dance in the Masonic Hall on Saturday night. Despite counter attractions the hall was filled, and the music supplied by Mr Jack Barnes and His Rhythm Boys was much appreciated. Extras were played by Messrs W. Dewar, C. Jackson and W. Raniera. The duties of M.C. were very capably carried out by Mr C. S. McQuade (Cadet Superintendent). The ladies’ committee supervised in an excellent manner the supper ar'i’angements. The Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss E. Paske and partner, and a lucky spot fox trot by Miss N. Staines and Pte. R. Hooper. Mr McQuade thanked patrons for their attendance and stated that he particularly wished to welcome the members of the United States Marines to the dance, but regretted that the dance had clashed with the opening night of their club, The Brigade's next dance will be held on Saturday, March 13.
