DUNKIRK DOCKS
THREE DAYLIGHT RAIDS BY VENTURA BOMBERS. SHIPPING AND OTHER TARGETS ALSO ATTACKED. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.25 a.m.) RUGBY, February 26. Ventura bombers in daylight today thrice attacked the docks at Dunkirk. They were escorted by R.A.F., American, Dominions and Allied fighters and a number of enemy fighters were destroyed. Typhoons this morning attacked four small ships, one of which they left on fire and Whirlwinds in the evening, escorted by Spitfires, bombed an airfield on Cherbourg Peninsula. Two R.A.F. fighters are missing.
