NOW IN ALLIED HANDS PATROLS MAINTAINING CONTACT WITH ENEMY. ROADS HEAVILY MINED. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 9.30 a.m.) RUGBY, February 26. “The Kasserine Pass is now in our hands and we now also hold the high ground to the northeast and southwest of the pass,” states a North African communique. “Throughout the day our forward troops maintained close contact with the enemy, who heavily mined the road in an endeavour to cover his retreat. Our Patrols followed up withdrawal in the Sbiba area and advanced to a depth of 10 to 15 miles. “In a successful raid of Bou Arada, casualties were inflicted on the enemy prisoners were taken.”
