MEETINGS TOMORROW OPAKI-TRAINED HORSES. PROSPECTS AT NEW PLYMOUTH. Locally-trained horses are expected to play an important part at the Taranaki Jockey Club’s meeting tomorrow. Trainer T. R. George left for New Plymouth yesterday morning with Olein, The Champ, Home Rule and Wee Bun. Ashley Jenkins’s stable will be represented by Gay Fox. Of the horses mentioned Olein and The Champ have form to warrant the public favouring them, but Home Rule is a horse without public form but should take a stake in the near future. Wee Bun is an unknown quantity as yet. The public might favour the following horses:— • Waitara Hurdles (11.45): Imperium, Acquest, Gay Fox. Ngamotu Handicap (12:30): Fort Royal, Expedient, Etianthus. Flying Hack Handicap (1.15): The Champ, Black Robe, Koi Ragi. Moturoa Handicap (2.5): First division: Rosy Dawn bracket, Platinum Wings. Second division: Home Rule, Jovial Lass. Taranaki Cup (2.50); Nightray, Classform, Mahaina. Okato Handicap (3.35): War Effort, Sunblaze, Keen Play. County Welter (4.20): Minority, Duality, Hippodrome. ' Timaru Handicap (5.5): Alcin, Embroider, Te Awe Awe. Te Aroha Prospects. At the Te Aroha Jockey Club’s meeting tomorrow the following runners may probably meet public favour:— Ruakaka Hurdles (11.50): Radiant Bay, Acreman, Sufpeen.
