ENEMY RAIDED

LANDING GROUNDS BOMBED EXPLOSIONS AND FIRES CAUSED. FIGHTING IN MIDDLE EAST. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 12.10 p.m.) RUGBY, February 25. A R.A.F. Middle East communique states: “Fighter bombers raided enemy landing grounds at Burdj and Toarz on Tuesday night and light bombers attacked positions between Wadi Zigwau and the Aran-Mareth road, causing explosions and fires. American planes bombed positions in the same area, fires resulting. “Medium and heavy bombers attacked a landing ground at Gabes and the town itself the same night, bombs bursting among dispersed aircraft and starting fires. “From all the above mentioned operation's one of our planes is missing.”
