100,000 TONS

BOMBS DROPPED ON ENEMV TARGETS IN EUROPEAN WAR ZONE. R.A.F’s. GREAT ACHIEVEMENT. LONDON, February 23. Since the beginning of the war aircraft of the Bomber Command have dropped over 100,000 tons of bombs on enemy territory in Europe. Over 50,000 tons have been dropped in the past year. Round the clock bombing is what the R.A.F. is aiming at. Last year the Bomber Command alone made 2000 daylight sorties. The enemy has failed to stop the raids, and the Germans have lost a great number of fighters in the process.
