BOROUGH RATES <7 SATISFACTORY POSITION. ("Times-Age” Special.) The Town Clerk, Mr P. A. Cole, reported to the council last evening that the outstanding rates for the current year amounted to £172. This was considered very satisfactory. Personal Items. Mrs Nix, of Garrison Street, has returned home after a holiday spent at Otaki Beach. Mr C. Holland, of Garrison Street, is an inmate of the Masterton Hospital. A Hot Day. Yesterday was a hot day, the glass registering 83 degrees in the shade. REGENT THEATRE “DR KILDARE’S CRISIS.” A romantic drama, “Dr Kildare's Crisis,” will be shown tonight, with Lew Ayres, Lionel Barrymore and Laraine Day in the chief roles.
