HOMING PIGEONS
MASTERTON CLUB. RACE FROM NAPIER. The Masterton Homing Pigeon Club held a race from Napier, an airline distance of 120 miles. The weather conditions were perfect and consequently the times were the fastest ever recorded from Napier. The following were the results: —I. Mayes’s “Beau Reliance” (time, 2hrs 25 min 25 sec), 1; Grant and Forrester’s “White Star” 2 hours 25 min 31secs), 2; A. Pinkney’s “Flying Ace” (2hrs 26min 19 secs) 3; Stewart & Son’s “Imperium” (2hrs 26min 21secs) 4; Stewart & Sons’ “Black & White” (2hrs 26min 28secs) 5; N. Gardner’s “Blue Glory” (2hrs 26 min 40secs) 6.
