RED CROSS SOCIETY FLAG 500 PARTY. (“Times-Age” Special.) There was a large attendance at the flag 500 card party held by the local sub-centre of the Red Cross Society on Saturday evening. Mr L. C. Christie conducted the games. The winners were Mrs F. J. Mcßride and Messrs R. Farrow, P. Jensen and A. W. Cook. The hostesses were Mesdames Castledene and W. D. Scott. Personal Items. Mr V. Jesson, Lower Hutt, is on a visit to Eketahuna. Mrs R. Payne has been on a visit to Waitara. - l Mrs Milner and Miss Milner, Wellington. are guests at Liverpool House. The Rev J. W. C. Mutter is visiting Palmerston North for the Anglican conference, which will be held during the week. Croquet Afternoon. The active members of the Eketahuna Croquet Club entertained the honorary members on Saturday afterr noon at the local greens. Tea was served in the pavilion. Miss A. Anderson (president) welcomed the guests and presented trophies to the following winners:—Golf, Mrs M. R. Herbert; peg, Mrs C. Reardon; bell-parcel, Mrs L. C. Christie.
