FEATHERSTON

SCHOOL PICNIC GATHERING AT KAHUTARA. (“Times-Age” Special.) ’The Kahutara School picnic was held yesterday at the Kahutara sports ground. There was a very large attendance of scholars and parents. Races for the children and adults were much enjoyed. Luncheon, afternoon tea and ice creams were provided. A donation of fruit was received from Mr Munn. Personal. The funeral of the late Mr H. S._ Burt took place at the Featherston Cemetery yesterday afternoon. The Rev H. Bloomfield officiated at the service in the Presbyterian Church and at the graveside. The pallbearers were Messrs G. Burt, D. Burt; A. Burt, C. Burt, B. Burt and I. Blain. Many beautiful wreaths were received. COSY THEATRE “SUNDOWN.” Tonight’s programme will be headed by the outstanding drama, “Sundown,” featuring Gene Tierney, Bruce Cabot, George Sanders and Sir Cedric Hardwicke.
