MASTERTON SALE GOOD VALUES FOR BEST LAMBS. CATTLE SELL WELL. The Associated Auctioneers report as follows on their Masterton sale yesterday: — A fairly heavy yarding came forward, comprising chiefly store lambs and wethers. A few ewes came forward and made values well up to those ruling at the last fair. The best lambs made good values, and the medium and small lambs seem to favour the buyer. Store wethers made late values. Several pens of cattle came forward and sold well. The following are prices:— Sheep: Fat ewes, 10s 6d to 12s 3d; 2-th. ewes, 21s id to 225; 2 and 4-th. ewes, 18s to 18s 8d; 6-th. ewes, to 20s; 4 and 5-yr. ewes, to 14s 6d; m.a. ewes, 7s 6d, 10s 14s, to 17s 2d; 2 and 4>th. ewes (small), to 12s; 2 and 4-th. wethers, 14s 3d to 19s Gd; b.f. lambs, 15s, 15s 3d to 17s 8d; small b.f. lambs, 11s 4d to Ils 6d; woolly wether lambs, 10s 7d, Ils 6d, 14s to 15s 6d; shorn wether lambs, 10s 6d, Ils 4d, 11s 6d to 13s Id; shorn wether lambs (small), 5s lOd, 6s 6d, 8s 8d to 8s 7d; ewe lambs, 12s 4d, 12s sd, 13s Id, 12s Bd, 14s to 18s; cull lambs, 3s 6d, 4s Id to 4s 9d; small w.w. lambs, 6s to 6s 6d. Cattle: Forward condition P.A. bullocks, to £lO 15s; P.A. cows and vealers, to £8 7s 6d; cows and calves, to £6 10s.
