’ AT SOLWAY SHOWGROUNDS TODAY e e SPLENDID QUALITY ANIMALS I: OFFERED. t - LARGE ATTENDANCE OF BUYERS, d t There was a large attendance of - buyers from many parts of the Do- - minion at the Masterton A. and P. e Association’s annual ram fair which t opened at the Solway Showgrounds 3 today. The quality of the animals offered - was of a particularly high standard 1 and rams of good type and true to 3 breed were keenly sought after. 3 The judging of the best show pens of - four Romney rams resulted: —J. E. - Hewitt 1 and 4, Estate A. Tocker 2, D. - Warren Estate 3. r The winning pen comprised four ) splendid type Romneys. The animals i were low set, true to type, and the wool l was “blocky.” , The sale will be continued tomorrow t when flock and stud Southdown rams > and flock Southdown ewes will be sold.
