WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

MEETING AT UPPER PLAIN. (‘Times-Age” Special.) Members of the Kaituna-Fernridge Women’s Institute met at Mrs Ramsay’s home, Upper Plain, recently, after a recess of two months. Mrs Keir presided over a good attendance of members. An interesting travel talk on the Far East was given by Mrs M. Cleghorn. She was accorded a vote of thanks. In the flower competition, Mrs J. Shaw was first and Mrs Pringle second. ' The bring and buy table did brisk business. Afternoon tea was handed round by the hostess, Mrs Ramsay, assisted by her daughter, Miss P. Ramsay.
