WORK COMMENDED

ORDER OF ST. JOHN AND RED CROSS. LETTER FROM LORD BLEDISLOE. In a letter to the chairman of the New Zealand Joint Council of the Order of St. John and the Red Cross Society, Viscount Bledisloe states that the work which is being done in so many directions is really marvellous, and that the record of selfless war time work in so many directions, as set out in the council’s annual report, is so striking that he cannot resist writing to congratulate all those responsible on a wonderful achievement. Lord Bledisloe also says that New Zealanders have made a great war effort, and that he is proud to enjoy their friendship.
