MASS MURDER
OF JEWS IN OCCUPIED EUROPE ORDERED BY THE NAZIS. POLICY OF FEROCIOUS BESTIALITY. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, February 14. The German authorities have issued new orders to speed nip' and intensify the extermination by mass massacre and starvation, of the ’Jews remaining *in occupied Europe, according to direct reports from central Europe, which have just been received in London by the British section of the World Jewish Congress. The Nazis have ordered that by March 31 the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia is to be cleared of Jews, and by the same time no Jew is to be left in Berlin. An order virtually sentencing the Jews in Bohemia and Moravia to death by starvation has been published in the official gazette of the protectorate. Under the decree the local authorities are ordered to withdraw from the Jews their cards for rationed foodstuffs. Under the existing anti-Jewish regulations, which apply also in Germany and Austria, Jews are forbidden to buy unrationed foodstuffs such as fish, poultry and vegetables. At the same time, deportations of Jews from Germany are continuing at a rapid rate, and special Gestapo agents have arrived in Berlin and also in Holland from Vienna, where the deportation of Jews has almost been completed, to speed up the expulsions. Even girls working in German war industries, whose families have already been deported ,have now been arrested and deported. A new wave of suicides of Jews has taken place. It is also learned that 21 members of the Berlin Jewish Community Council, who were arrested as hostages on November 9, have disappeared. Eight had already been shot because some Jews escaped from a deportation barracks. Not a single Jew is left in the Warsaw ghetto, where originally there were 430,000. The remnants of the Jews in Poland are confined to 55 ghettos, spread over the country. Martial law has been declared in Warsaw, according to German newspapers which are quoted by a Zurich correspondent. Last week 170 persons were executed for “sabotage and acts against German soldiers.”
