HITLER’S HARVEST
WOUNDED FROM SOVIET FRONT.
The towns of Germany and the occupied countries are packed out with wounded from the Soviet front. Endless lines of hospital trains move west. In a Vienna railway station six such trains awaited unloading for about a week. During this period 67 of the wounded died in the trains. Two-tiered bunks have been installed in certain hospitals. One thousand wounded are crammed into a Munich hospital which normally accommodates only 400 patients. They lie on the floors, in corridors and on stair landings. .
