Relations With Russia.

At a recently held,meeting of the executive of the Society for Closer Relations with Russia, it was decided to go ahead with arrangements to hold a public meeting in the Y.M.C.A. Rooms cn February 23, to mark the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Soviet Red Army. / A speaker from Wellington and other prominent local residents are being invited to address the meeting. Swimming Club Events.

The following events will be decided by the Masterton Swimming Club at its next meeting: —Junior boys: 25 yards freestyle handicap, 50 yards freestyle handicap. Junior girls: 50 yards freestyle handicap, 25 yards backstroke. Intermediate boys: 50 yards freestyle handicap, 100 yards freestyle handicap. Intermediate girls: 50 yards freestyle handicap, 25 yards breaststroke. Ladies: 50 yards freestyle handicap. Men: 50 yards freestyle handicap, 100 yards relay race, 25 yards dash. There will also be dives for all grades.
