CROQUET TOURNAMENT ON TUESDAY. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Greytown Club has received good entries for its Association Day tournament which will be held in the Memorial Park on Tuesday. BOWLING CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS. Good progress was made with the club championships on Saturday afternoon. Champion singles: J. Kiernan beat J. Stringfellow; J. Burden beat A. Peterson; G. Brunton beat J. Burden; J. Kiernan beat W. Higgison; H. Carter beat* E. Maddison; J. Coleman beat A. Thompson. Champion pairs; H. Johns and McLeod beat A. G. Peterson and F. Harrington; F. Dewhurst and W. Higgison beat G. Dull’ and S. Shedden; H. J. Nightingale and R. Thompson beat E. Skeet and T. Connolly; Burns and Kiernan beat Coleman and Bunny; J. Reid and C. Larsen beat A. Peterson and F. Harrington; H. W. Feast and P. Kenning beat E. Maddison and G. Brunton. Dennes Medal: G. Brunton defeated the holder, C. Larsen. Both played good bowls and the result was in doubt right up till the last head. Featherston defaulted in the game set down for the Centre Fours on Saturday. Personal. Mr J. Langley, of Wellington, was a weekend visitor to Greytown. TOWN HALL “A YANK IN THE R.A.F.” There will be an excellent drama presented at the Town Hall tomorrow night—“A Yank in the R.A.F.” —providing plenty of thrills and romance. The leading roles are taken by Tyrone Power and Betty Grable.
