NURSES’ SALARIES AND SERVICE CONDITIONS. NATIONAL STANDARDS PROPOSED IN BRITAIN. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.55 a.m.) RUGBY, February 12. The Ministry of Health “Nurses’ Salaries Committee” has issued a report recommending increases to come into operation on April 1,” “The Times” states. “The recommendations will, if adopted, provide for the first time in the history of the nursing profession a national scale of salaries and uniform standard of conditions of service, which should go far to attract a better type of woman to the task of caring for the sick.”
