MOTOR COLLISION
MINISTER INJURED. ESCAPE THROUGH WINDOW. . (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. A collision between a lorry and a motor-car in which the Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr Parry, was travelling to Wellington occurred yesterday afternoon at an intersection about three miles south of Palmerston North. The car was overturned and the Minister, the driver and the other occupants, who were all badly shaken and are suffering from shock, had to escape through one of the windows. The Minister was accompanied by his private secretary, Mr. E. N. G. Poulton, and typist, Miss L. Levestam. All three are suffering from injuries in addition to shock. Mr Parry had a hand injured, Mr Poulton an ankle, and Miss Levastam has superficial injuries to her face. The party came on to Wellington later.
