SHACKLING OF PRISONERS
f — GERMANY NOT FOLLOWING BRITISH LEAD. (British Official Wireless.) , RUGBY, February 11. Referring to the shackling of prisoners, Mr Eden recalled that Britain had responded immediately to Switzerland’s appeal to unshackle prisoners, but the Germans had not seen fit to take similar action. Only this morning Britain had dispatched a further communication on the subject to the protecting Power.
