ST. CUTHBERT’S CHURCH ’ SALE OF WORK. (“Times-Age” Special.) Owing to the boisterous weather conditions, the sale of work in connection with St Cuthbert’s Church was held in the Parish" Hall. Usually a garden party is held in Mr and Mrs A. H. Herbert’s grounds. Very good business was done. The stallholders were as follow:-— Produce, Miss M. Anderson and Mrs Gray; fancy stall, Mesdames Murray Aynsley and P. Bouzaia; cake stall and hoop-la, Mesdames E. Albretchtsen and S. Daniel; tearooms, Mesdames Christie, Carter, Bowering Dawson, Fredericksen, Fauvel and Liardet. Personal Items. Miss Fitzgerald, of Carterton, has joined the staff of the primary department of the local school, and Miss Towgood is relieving in the secondary department. Mr H. Wynn Hesse, agricultural instructor, visited the Eketahuna District High School recently. The death occurred in the Wellington Hospital yesterday of Mrs Alma Kathleen Rogers, mother of Mrs H. E. Rogers, Station Road, and grandmother of Mr Richie Rogers of the Post Office staff. Sympathy will be extended to Mrs Rogers by a large circle of friends in her great loss. Mr and Mrs H. E. Rogers and Mr Richie Rogers are visiting Wellington for the funeral of Mrs A. K. Rogers, which will take place tomorrow.
