GREYTOWN
FIRE BRIGADE SERVICE HONOURS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Greytown Volunteer Fire Brigade was presided over by Superintendent J. Wood. Fireman R. Murray was presented with a 2-year service bar, completing 19 years as a tire brigade member. Station Officer G. Gray and H. Gray received a 5-year service honour each. Constable Gregor reported on proceedings taken against an offender who gave a false alarm. Donations Acknowledged. The secretary of the Grey town Fire Brigade acknowledges with thanks the following donations:—W.F.C.A., £1 Is; Messrs N. McLeod, M. Maxton, J. Lyford, N. Langford and Mrs L. G. Raison, 10s each. Personal Items. Mr E. Saywell and Miss C. Saywell, of Hastings, are the guests of Mr and Mrs A. Haigh, Humphries Street. Misses P. Allen and N. Keltie are spending a holiday in Palmerston North. Mrs Wise, of Kilbirnie, is the guest of her daughter, Mrs J. Robb, East Street. TOWN HALL TWO BIG FEATURES. There will be two big features at the Town Hall tonight—“ Time Out For Rhythm” (a musical romance, featuring Rosemary Lane, Rudy Vallee and Annie Miller) and “Glamour Boy” (a comedy in which the leading roles are taken by Jackie Cooper and Walter Abel.
