The North Island Motor Union wrote to the monthly meeting of the Wairarapa Automobile Association stating that a deputation had waited upon the Minister in regard to the charge of Is for wind screen registration stickers. It was pointed out that the poor quality of these made their destruction practically certain, and it was hardly fair that motorists should be called upon to pay a shilling for replacement. The Minister had agreed.to reduce the cost to 6d.—Mr R. W. Roydhouse said that he considered any charge to the motorist was an imposition. Mr H. E. Jackson stated that the present year was nearing its end, and perhaps it would be better to ask the Union to urge that the new stickers for next year either be of better quality or that no charge be made for replacement. —It was resolved to adopt this suggestion. New Stock Route Signs. The Carterton Borough Council wrote to the monthly meeting of the Wairarapa Automobile Association asking that signs indicating the new stock road be erected. —Mr H. E. JackSon reported that in- company with Mr R. W. Roydhouse he had visited the locality and the signs asked for would certainly be a help in avoiding accident. —The request was acceded to.
