COLONIAL SERVICE
PROPOSAL IN THE HOUSE OF LORDS. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 9.50 a.m.) RUGBY, February 11. In a debate on the Colonial Service, which he initiated in the House of Lords yesterday, Lord Trenchard asked for the creation of a Colonial Service, interchangeable between Whitehall and the colonies and wholly detached from the Home Civil Service. The Duke of Devonshire said the matter was under active consideration.
