JAPANESE RAID

ON TOWN OF KWEILIN. AMERICAN AIR STATION IN CHINA. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.20 a.m.) RUGBY, February 9. Yesterday afternoon 22 ’ Japanese planes, operating in three waves, carried out a strong attack against the town of Kweilin, dropped explosive and incendiary bombs and machinegunned streets. There was loss of life, but the damage done was small. Kweilin is stated to be an important base of American air forces stationed in China.
