REGENT THEATRE
1 ’ “SHIP AHOY” r 3 “Ship Ahoy” will be finally shown tonight. “FINGERS ,AT THE WINDOW.” A band of murderers, hypnotically ' controlled by a mind miles away, provides excitement in a new type of Hollywood mystery which will be s shown tomorrow night, “Fingers at the Window,” with Lew Ayres, Laraine Day and Basil Rathbone in the chief roles. Ayres is excellent as the actor who plays his greatest role off the stage as the amateur detective. Laraine Day handles an emotional role with skill, and Rathbone is convincingly menacing. With its action laid in Chicago’s night clubs, contrasted with police headquarters, hospitals and the haunts of criminals, “Fingers at the Window” provides screen entertainment above the average. The associ- .. ate feature is a return season of those e two ace comedians, Laurel and Hardy. •’ The film, “Swiss Miss,” is one of the I 1 best they have made.
