REGENT THEATRE
‘‘REAP THE WILD WIND.” “Reap the Wild Wind” will be finally screened tonight. DOUBLE FEATURE PROGRAMME. Commencing tomorrow, at 8 p.m., an exceptionally good double-feature programme will be presented at the Regent Theatre. The story of “Give Out Sisters” deals with the frantic tribulations of a swing-minded young lady who determines to dance publicly, despite the objections of her three elderly aunts. Grace MacDonald portrays the young lady, and at certain times in the plot the Andrews Sisters masquerade as the three aunts. The musical items are excellent. The associate feature, “Men of Texas,” is one of those pictures obviously designed to please every type of audience. The cast includes Robert Stack, Brod Crawford and Jackie Cooper. Stack portrays a Chicago newspaper reporter assigned to cover disturbances in the teeming south-west. Crawford appears as a masquerading bandit, and young Cooper is seen as the innocent victim of a renegade’s bullet. In addition to its warm dramatic depth, “Men of Texas” has all the sweep and impressiveness of “the wide open spaces.”
