SERVICE APPEALS
ARMED FORCES BOARD MASTERTON SITTING. MANY CASES ADJOURNED. The No. 2 Armed Forces Appeal Board (Napier) continued its sitting in Masterton today. There were present Messrs H. B. Lusk( chairman), F. R. Field, W. H. Barry (members), J. C. Corbishley (secretary), J. S. Wauchop (Crown representative) and Lieutenant F. H. ’Goldfinch (liaison officer) . In the following cases the name of the person lodging the appeal is given in parentheses:— Adjourned to the next sitting: Francis Patrick Cooper, farmer (J. C. Cooper); Thomas Henry Snell, farm hand (Director of National Service); John O’Leary Peters, farmer (reservist); Archie Scott, farm hand (H. H. Scott).
Adjourned sine die: Richard Owen Benton, farmer (Winifred C. L. Benton); Alexander W. Moy, market gardener (George W. Moy), John David Lulham, fire brigadesman (Masterton Fire Board); Kenneth Raymond Townsend, farm hand (Thomas Townsend and reservist).
