OVER FRANCE AND BELGIUM BY UNITED NATIONS FIGHTERS AND BOMBERS. MINOR RAIDS ON BRITAIN. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.45 a.m.) RUGBY, January 26. An Air Ministry communique states: “Squadrons of United Nations fighters and bombers made trips over Northern France and Belgium this afternoon. In one of these sweeps Venturas, without loss, bombed railway targets in Bruges. Three enemy fighters were destroyed in combat. Four of our fighters are missing from the day’s operations. “During the day a small number of enemy aircraft were over coastal areasin south-east and south-west England. Bombs caused some damage and a small number of casualties. One enemy aircraft was destroyed by our fighters.
