HOOLIGANISM IN PALESTINE. OSTENSIBLY IN SUPPORT OF RECRUITING. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) LONDON, January 24. “It is reported from different joarts ■of Palestine that terrorism and hooliganism are being perpetrated by persons who represent that they are concerned in the recruitment for the British forces,” states a communique which was issued in Jerusalem today. “The methods include the placing of bombs on premises, the administering of castor oil, and other forms of intimidation,” the communique adds. “Acts such as these bring discredit to the recruiting campaign and must be prevented in the interest of the war effort, as well as for the good of the country, which has given many thousands of recruits to the armed forces.”
