BOWLING CLUB ■ — PROGRESSIVE PAIRS. (“Times-Age” Special.) P. Kenning won the skips’ section and J. Reid the leads in a progressive pairs tournament held by the Greytown Bowling Club, each winning three games and highest points. Other results were: Skips, W. Higgison, F. Dennes, H. Carter, 3 wins; S. Shedden, 2 wins; N. S. McLeod, 1 win. Leads: J. F. Thompson, J. Burden, 3 wins; F. Whisker, 2 wins. In the handicap singles, I. Bruce beat H. McPhee, H. Wallace beat J. Coleman, R. Thompson beat F. Harrington. In -the pairs championship H. R. Feast and H. Carter beat E. Skeet and T. Connolly; and S. Brice and A. Thompson beat J. Reid and F. Dennes. Personal Items . Miss Dulcie Rees, of Wellington, spent the week-end with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. J. Rees, McMaster Street. Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Westwood, who have been the guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. Haigh, Main Street, have returned to Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. A. Gregor have returned home from Lower Hutt. z Mr. D Knapp, of Wellington, was a week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. Richards, McMaster Street. Mr. J. E. Montgomerie, of Cross’s Line, met with an accident yesterday morning. Mr. Montgomerie was driving his milk cart from the Greytown Dairy Factory when the horse shied, with the result that he overbalanced, and one ’of the wheels passed over him. He was taken to the Greytown Hospital. This morning it was reported that he was much easier, but was suffering from shock and bruises. TOWN HALL “JOAN OF PARIS.” A romantic adventure story, “Joan Of Paris,” will be shown in the Town Hall tomorrow night. It is a thrilling drama of the war with Michele Morgan, Paul Henreid, May Robson and Thomas Mitchell in the leading roles.
