AIR FORCE BAND
VISIT TO WAIRARAPA THIS WEEK-END APPEARANCES AT MASTERTON AND CARTERTON. NUMBER OF BILLETS WANTED. The Band of the Royal New Zealand Air Force will make public appearances in Masterton and Carterton this week-end. The band will arrive in Masterton on Friday afternoon, at 2 o’clock, after a successful visit to Wairoa, Dannevirke, Napier and Feilding. The band will be met on arrival by a detachment of the Air Force, and will march through the town. On Saturday afternoon the band will appear at the Carterton Showgrounds, and again in the evening in connection with a patriotic ball being held at Carterton. On Sunday afternoon the band will play at the Masterton Park and at the Regent Theatre in the evening. t Members of the band are being billeted in Masterton. Billets have been arranged for the majority of the members, but are still required for 12 to 18 men. Residents who are able to offer billets for the men are requested to communicate with Mr S. Taylor, Essex Street Extension, Telephone 1412.
