CROQUET
MASTERTON CLUB’S HANDICAP TOURNAMENT. Perfect weather prevailed for the opening of the Masterton Croquet Club’s handicap tournament, which is being played on the lawns in the Park. Some very interesting games were witnessed by the spectators. The results of yesterday’s play are as follow:—-Mrs Finlayson (2) and Mrs Rigg (10) beat Mrs Kingdon (6j) and Mrs W. Thompson (7|), 26/23; Mrs Penistone (7) and Mrs McMaster (8|) beat Mrs Weller (5) and Mrs Barlow (90, 26/14. The tournament was continued today.
