WAR PRODUCTION

PEAK IN GREAT BRITAIN THIS YEAR ADDITIONAL TRANSFERS OF LABOUR. FROM LESS ESSENTIAL INDUSTRIES. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.15 a.m.) RUGBY, January. 19. The British Minister of War Production (Mr Oliver Lytteltofi), in a statement on war production plans for 1943, said the year would see the peak in British war production, and the total labour force employed in the output of munitions would considerably exceed that of last year.

In order to obtain the additional labour required, there would be a further withdrawal of labour from less essential industries, and a further mobilisation of women into industry.
