TOLL CONTINUES
OF JAPANESE SHIPS IN PACIFIC FIVE SUNK BY AMERICAN SUBMARINES. ANOTHER TWO DAMAGED. LONDON, January 19. American submarines have sunk five more Japanese ships in Far Eastern waters. These comprise a destroyer, a transport, two cargo ships and a patrol vessel. In addition, a tanker and a cargo ship were damaged.
