REGENT THEATRE
“APACHE TRAIL.” Lovers of Western pictures have a treat in store for them in Metro-Gold-wyn-Mayer’s “Apache Trail,” which will be shown at the Regent Theatre ’tonight. The story centres around the feud of Tom Folli.ard (William Lundigan) and his outlaw brother, Peso Bill (Lloyd Nolan). Having lost his job as guard of the mail stage through one of his brother’s holdups, Tom manages to secure a position as manager of the Tonto Valley station, one constantly plagued by Apache raids. At the station lives Rosalia (Donna Reed), the daughter of the Spanish cook. Peso Bill rides into the station, having killed several Apaches in order to steal a valuable ceremonial pipe. In a gun duel, Tom disarms him. The Apaches attack in order to regain their sacred pipe. An outstanding supporting programme includes the latest March of Time, “Men of Washington.” A matinee will be held tomorrow afternoon.
