LATEST OFFICIAL FORECAST OCCASIONAL RAIN. MODERATE 'TEMPERATURES. The following official weather report and forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today:— DISTRICT FORECAST: Moderate southerly to south-easterly winds. Weather cloudy, with occasional rain, more especially on the east coast. Temperatures moderate. FURTHER OUTLOOK: Fair to cloudy. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 110 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today. An inch of rain fell in two hours last night. PHASES OF THE MOON. JANUARY.
