BEING USED BY GERMANS TO REFUEL LONG-RANGE SUBMARINES. AND PROVIDE HOSPITALS FOR WOUNDED. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.55 a.m.) RUGBY, January 8. It is disclosed that the Germans are using mother ships to refuel long-range submarines and also to provide hospitals for wounded from the fighting craft. As far as is known, the mother ships do not carry supplies of torpedoes, probably because of the difficulties of transhipment.
