BOWLING CLUB CAMPBELL CUP GAMES. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Campbell Cup games, played by members of the Greytown Bowling Club, have entered the final stages last evening.. N. McLeod beat F. Harrington and F. Dennes beat R. Thompson.

Demand for Labour.

There is still an acute shortage of labour in the district. The Government vegetable growing scheme has an increasing staff, apart • from the prisoners of war who are employed. The apple season will commence next month and again the demand for labour will be heavy.

District Crops. The increased production campaign is being well supported in and around Greytown. Several good crops of wheat, also oats and barley, are noticeable. Personal. Able Seaman B. Haigh, of the Royal New Zealand Navy, is at present spending his furlough at Greytown. , TOWN HALL DOUBLE FEATURE BILL. At the Town Hall tomorrow night there will be a double feature programme. “Texas” tells a thrilling story of the Wild West, with William Holden and Glenn Ford portraying the chief characters. The other picture is “Honolulu Lu.” Two smart new songs are introduced in this gay comedy. The leading characters are portrayed by Leo Carillo and Lupe Velez.
