LONDON, January 4. Wooden-soled, shoes are to be manufactured shortly and will be plentiful in the • summer. Mr H: G. Dustron, Director of Civilian Wear, described samples as smart and comfortable. No more resoling of boots and shoes from toe to heel is permitted. Cobblers in future are allowed to put on a halfsole from the toe to the beginning of the arch. Heels must have iron or rubber tips.
