GIFTS ACKNOWLEDGED.
(“Times-Age” Special.) At a meeting of the Soldiers’ Club Committee, the following gifts received during the past three months were gratefully acknowledged:— Gramophone, Mrs H. W. Rishworth, Masterton; half dozen plates, Mrs H. Bull; 1 teapot, Mrs F. Kempton; half dozen plates, Nursing staff, Greytown Hospital; fruit cake, Mrs O. Petersen; jam and sauce, Mesdames Barcham and Coleman; 2 sacks potatoes, Mrs L. N. Hoggard; tea, sugar and jam, Mrs W. Tully, Senr.; cheese and pam, Mrs W. Hodge; honey, Mrs E. Richards; milk, Mrs H. Farley, and a donation of 5s from Mrs H. Morison Senr. Fire in Shed. The Greytown Fire Brigade received a call at noon yesterday to a fire in a building at the fruit orchard of the Loasby Estate. Slight damage was done in the cider shed, TOWN HALL “LAUGH IT OFF.” Tommy Trinder joins the army and provides a programme of fun in "Laugh It Off,” which, will be shown tonight. It is the best picture Trinder has appeared in.
