WAIRARAPA CENTRE FOURS TOURNAMENT THIS'WEEK. DRAW ANNOUNCED. The entries for the Wairarapa Bowling Centre’s New Year Centre Fours Tournament to be played on the Masterton Club’s greens on Friday and Saturday, have reached the splendid total of twenty-eight teams, wnich is only two short of the record set at the 1931-32 tourney. All the clubs in the Wairarapa are well represented, and there will also be one team from Lower Hutt. Several of the local teams, comprise visiting bowlers, and, given fine weather, some really good bowling should be seen. Visitors were present from Wellington, Hutt, Paten and Christchurch. The winner of the skips was Freeman, with 5 wins, and A. Chapman was runner-uo with 4), wins. In the leads, the winner was D. Thomson with 5 wins, and J. Kerslake iwas runner-up with 4-j wins. The winners and runners-up wore each presented with a quarter of lamb, generously donated by the club’s president. Mr H. Thomas.
