MARTINBOROUGH
SOLDIERS HONOURED ("Times-Age” Special.) There was a large attendance of residents from all parts of the district at the Town Hall' to welcome home Privates R. McLeod, R. Moffitt, J. Hodder and E. Rolett (who have returned invalided from the Middle East), and to entertain Private C. McCarclle and Tpr. C. Michell, who are now on leave. The Mayor (Mr C. R. Holmes), in a brief speech, handed a gift to each of the. guests. Messrs W. J. Knell (chairman of the Citiens’ Farewell Committee)) and N. H. Thomas (president of the R.S.A.), also spoke. \ During the evening Miss Marjorie Mason rendered a solo, which was encored, the accompanist being Miss Joyce Grant.
