WEDDING

ROYS—BROWN. The Masterton Methodist Church was the scene of a very pretty wedding recently; when Nora Lilian, second daughter of Mr and Mrs W. E. Brown, of Masterton, was married to Gnr. Charles George, eldest son of Mrs and the late Mr F. E. Roys, of Masterton. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. F. H. Parker. Miss Constance Donald presided at the organ. The church was beautifully decorated by friends of the bride. The bride, who was escorted by her father, looked charming in a slim fitting ivory satin gown trimmed with lace and a long train, the tulle veil being worn with a head-dress of white roses. The bride carried a beautiful bouquet of white carnations, Christmas lilies and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaid, Miss Agnes Roys, sister of the bridegroom, wore pink taffeta silk, with bolero and halo of pink tulle, and carried a beautiful bouquet of pink carnations and maidenhair fern. The duties of best man were ably carried ‘out by Sergeant D. W. J. Roys (who had recently returned from the Middle East), cousin of the bridegroom. A reception was later held at the residence of the bride’s parents, where Mesdames Brown and Roys received the guests, only relatives and intimate friends being present. When the bride and bridegroom left for the south, the bride was wearing a blue floral frock with powder blue coat and hat and navy accessories.
