HIT & RUN
SECOND JAPANESE RAID ON CALCUTTA. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.45 a.m.) RUGBY, December 22. The second Japanese raid on Calcutta was only a hit and run affair, made by about six aircraft. Bombs were dropped in one locality, but nothing important was hit. Casualties and damn"'' were slight. The raid was over in 45 minutes. FEW BOMBS DROPPED, IN YET ANOTHER RAID. LONDON, December 22. Calcutta has had its third successive night raid.
